Chris Colman is a multi-disciplinary animation professional, based in Shanghai since 2011. Having started life in China as lead character designer for a 2D studio, he went on to spearhead the business development of a major new animation training institute. During that period, he started the China Animation & Game Network, a nationwide community of animation and game professionals centred around live creative networking events. Alongside his outreach efforts for Oriental DreamWorks and consultancy work, Chris writes for Variety and AWN about Chinese animation and regularly speaks at conferences and schools around the world.
