Chella Quint

Chella Quint, a Sheffield-based comedian, artist, writer, and presenter, is the UK’s leading expert on menstruation education. A former drama teacher and head of PSHE, Chella coined the phrase ‘period positive’ and founded #periodpositive to use humour and joy to challenge taboos, offering long-term solutions to period poverty. She featured in Radio 4’s ‘A Bleeding Shame’, contributed to Gemma Cairney’s book ‘Open’, and frequently writes for national print media. She is a spokesperson for Girlguiding UK’s Action for Change and is currently developing The #periodpositive Schools Charter Mark. Chella is about to begin crowd funding a book for young people based on her 5-star Edinburgh comedy show ‘Adventures in Menstruating’.
