Head of Safeguarding and Child Protection BBC Children’s

In 2013, Catherine was appointed BBC Children’s Head of Safeguarding & Child Protection, which includes being the BBC’s lead for child internet safety. This followed 10 years in Children’s content production, online and TV, where she took the lead on helping to embed practices for keeping children safe when connecting with the media. In her current post, she’s helped to develop gold-standard BBC policies for internet safety, and works with other media agencies to share and develop the industry’s expertise. Catherine is also part of the CBeebies Indie Commissioning Team.
