Benedict Evans has been working in digital media throughout his career, bringing a unique blend of skills which combine art, design and programming. A graduate of Sir John Cass School of Art, and later completing an MA in Digital Art at Middlesex University, Ben focused on creating art installations that encouraged people to interact (as opposed to interacting with a machine.) Ben taught post graduates at Tower Hamlets College before joining the New Media industry at the inception of the internet. Working in the Atticmedia management team for many years, Ben developed a number of e-learning systems for Blue Chip companies before joining the BBC to work on the Digital Curriculum (aka Jam.) Ben joined BBC Children’s in 2006 to produce CBBC’s first virtual world, an ARG based on the MI High spy brand, and the media literacy project Tracy Beaker – You Choose. Ben is now working freelance, and continues to innovate and develop transmedia products for brands and broadcasters.
