Macmillan Children's Books
Belinda Ioni Rasmussen heads up Macmillan Children’s Books, a division of Pan Macmillan and home to the Gruffalo, amongst many other bestselling children’s brands, authors and illustrators.
Rasmussen joined Pan Macmillan end of 2011 and has led the business through four consecutive years of revenue and volume growth, as well as a second year of double-digit revenue growth, growing faster than the market rate.
Prior to Macmillan, Belinda was Managing director of Carlton Publishing Group, where she expanded the children’s publishing programme, invested in targeted licensed publishing partnerships and established an innovative digital publishing programme.
Before that Belinda spent nine years at Egmont in a range of senior roles from Rights, Special Sales, International Sales and New Business Development to Director of Egmont Press (the then fiction and picture book division of Egmont). During her time at Egmont, she took an MBA from the London Business School. Rasmussen is half Danish and half Italian.
