Founded to support the introduction of the UK animation tax reliefs, Animation UK is now part of the UK Screen Alliance, which also represents VFX, post production and film studios. As the collective voice of the animation sector we represent companies, studios, producers and distributors, ensuring the industry has the best economic and business and creative opportunities to flourish.
We proudly support and advocate for the UK animation industry, with its track record of both commercial and creative successes; and an international reputation for character development, storytelling, design, a range of craft and innovative techniques.
The founding members include Aardman Animations, Blue Zoo, Cake Entertainment, Entertainment One, Jellyfish Pictures, Mackinnon & Saunders, Studio Liddell, Tiger Aspect Productions, Lupus Films, The Elf Factory and Spider Eye. New council members also accommodate A Productions and Karrot Entertainment. We represent a growing membership of all key studios and service providers, large and small, based across the UK.
