Amy Buscombe

Amy is the Senior Drama Producer for he CBBC Independent Commissioning team, working to the Controller Cheryl Taylor across comedy, drama and digital narrative. Recent titles have included ‘Eve’, So Awkward, ‘Hank Zipzer’, ‘Jamie Johnson’,’Joe All Alone’ and interactive series ‘Dixi’ and ‘Secret Life of Boys’.

Before joining CBBC Amy was Head of Development at LA Productions, where she edited Jimmy McGovern’s BAFTA and International Emmy nominated film ‘Common’ and developed and edited series including ‘Moving On’, ‘Justice’ (BBC One) and RTS NW-winning children’s drama ‘Stepping Up’ (CBBC). Previously Amy worked worked as a freelance Script Editor for theatre, radio and film, in a variety of roles across BBC writersroom, Radio Drama and Commercial Rights.

Amy is particularly interested in thrilling, ambitious drama ideas with scale and purpose, projects that have a global passport but are still UK-relevant, and new approaches to narrative in the digital space.
