Alan Gilbey is a freelance screenwriter, show developer and script consultant specialising in comedy and animation. Over the last fifteen years he has developed original content for major studios on both sides of the Channel and the Atlantic, as well as creating and show running several series of his own.
Shows that Alan scripted have won many awards, including two from the Royal Television Society, a Pulcinella, a British Animation Award, two from the UK Writers Guild, two Broadcast Awards, two Baftas, and three further Bafta nominations.
Currently he has ‘What’s The Big idea?’, an innovative show about philosophy for young children, and his own creation ‘Dinopaws’ screening on Cbeebies and around the world.
