With so much content on offer, on so many platforms and via multiple devices, have children lost all loyalty to the traditional TV set?

Children’s media habits are changing. They want their content NOW.

Has the appeal of live TV and the TV set disappeared completely? What is the attraction of watching content on a smaller screen? And do children really prefer the appeal of services like Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube? Or do they still value public broadcaster content but want to watch it on their terms?

Our research looks at the apparent decline of live TV viewing among children and seeks to understand what is driving this. And if, in fact, it’s not what but where and how they watch TV that matters.
