Animation for PeaceRead VoD preview
In light of the extent of conflict around the world, how can animation be used as a force for good, both as a kids’ medium and as an industry?
Animation has a long and rich heritage of political and social comment, from the surreal films of Estonian Priit Parn to Terry Gilliam’s satirical Monty Python. It’s also loved by children the world over. In such divisive times, with war in Europe, political turmoil around the globe, climate change, polarisation and poverty, how is animation being used as a force for good? How can streamers and broadcasters contribute, and how can the animation industry as a whole support colleagues around the world?
In this video we speak to creators about how their work can help children and disparate communities to nurture understanding through animated content, and we ask broadcasters about how they’re contributing to this global need.
