How is artificial intelligence impacting kids media?
As big tech builds its case for the new metaverse, CMC is determined to empower those producing or distributing content for children to better understand this brave new world, the automated systems and machine learning that hold web 3.0 together.
Presented by Katie Thisleton, this video session explores the artificial intelligence, recommendation systems and immersive tech being deployed within the media ecosphere.
Academics Sophie Bishop, Huw Davies and Jack Stilgoe join media consultant Emily Horgan to discuss the good and bad of algorithms. Valentino Megale and Brittan Heller guide us through the issues around immersive technology. We then ask about safeguarding and how to look after young people; the immediate impact of these technologies on producers; and finally we consider long term solutions to ensure A.I. driven media platforms can better serve the audience.
