CMC 2022 Theme
A lifetime ago (2018) the CMC theme was What’s Next? No-one could have predicted what happened in the years that followed. At CMC we aim to equip or delegates for a constantly changing media landscape. But change, when it came, was radical, all-consuming and, continues to impact on the lives and futures of children and young people the world over.
So it’s time to ask again – and more urgently – What Next? Updated to version 2.2. (See what we did there?)
What Next 2.2 will offer answers, strategies, insights and – as always – inspiration to help delegates bring the best possible media, of every kind, to kids and young people in uncertain times.
We’ll explore what matters to young people – maintaining mental health, acting on climate change, embracing inclusivity, finding truth, fairness, and of course fun. We’ll reveal the changes in policy and share strategies to meet the challenges of delivering media to kids in the vastly changed landscape of 2022 and beyond. And we’ll explore the creative and business opportunities for content makers and distributors in this rapidly changing landscape.
Join us for What Next 2.2 at CMC 2022 in Sheffield and Online.
Who attends?
The Children’s Media Conference is the most important event in the UK for everyone involved in developing, producing and distributing content for kids. We open our doors to delegates from television, radio, film, games, interactive media, magazine and book publishing, the licensing and toy sectors and the arts and culture sectors and educational media.
