Showroom Cinema & Workstation
The central venue for The Children’s Media Conference is the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield. The Showroom Cinema is a purpose built 4-screen cinema and conference venue, just 5 minutes from Sheffield railway station.
Registration and one-to-one commissioner meetings are in the Workstation, which is just next door to the Showroom Cinema.
All public areas of the Showroom and Workstation are fully accessible for people using wheelchairs. Please notify the Box Office if you wish to reserve a wheelchair user space in the cinema. Toilet facilities for wheelchair users are available in the bar, café and lower cinema lobby. The Showroom has a lift for customer use.
The HUBS is the venue for the Tuesday CMC SkillBuilder workshop, conference sessions and for delegate lunches during the conference. It is the distinctive silver building opposite the Showroom.
All public areas of the HUBS are fully accessible for people using wheelchairs.
Sheffield Town Hall
The International Exchange takes place in the Reception Rooms at Sheffield town hall, which is situated behind the Winter Gardens.
Please allow 10 minutes to walk from registration.
Sheffield City Hall
The Opening Keynote takes place at Sheffield City Hall, which is situated at the top of Sheffield High Street.
Please allow 15 minutes to walk from registration.
Mercure St Paul’s Hotel
The Creative Keynote takes place in the City Suite at Mercure St Paul’s Hotel, which is joined on to the Winter Gardens, opposite Tudor Square where the Crucible is located.

Pizza Express plays host to the pizza supper on the Wednesday night at 8pm.
124 Devonshire Street
The CMC party on the Wednesday night is at the Sports Lounge @Gentings Casino located next door to Novotel.
St Paul’s Place
Site Gallery is Sheffield’s leading international contemporary art space, and is the venue for CMC’s Playground. It is next door to the Workstation on Paternoster Row, where CMC registration is held.
