Call for Pitches!

The hugely successful ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’ session is back at CMC for 2019, with a new team of judges assembled and hungry to option the next big commercial kids property.

We’re looking for diverse, forward thinking, TV and multi-media ideas to be pitched live in front of an esteemed panel of judges and investors and the CMC audience!! Kids consume TV in a completely non-traditional way and are platform-agnostic. How will your idea deliver something to todays generation of viewers? If you think you’ve got what it takes to create the next big hit then we want to hear from you.

We want to see formats across all kids age ranges which display real commercial potential and your pitch will need to include as many visuals as possible and ideally include a video. Your pitch must cover the key creative and commercial aspects of the proposition including, where possible, the financial aspects of your project.

Your live pitch should be no longer than 5 minutes in duration and our esteemed panel of judges will then be given the opportunity to respond and bid for an option on your idea. You must be able to sign an agreement which gives a winning judge a 3 month exclusive option to talk further about the idea. If your idea is already under option, you’ll be exempt. You must also be aware that our judges are under no obligation to bid on any of the ideas pitched to them.

PYMWYMI Executive Producer Debbie Macdonald says..

I’ve been Exec’ing this session for many years now and it’s perfect for anyone wanting to get their idea in front of people looking to invest AND the CMC audience. It’s a fun, informal way to show off your idea and get great advice from professionals.

Whilst you may think “OMG I could never do that”, I would really encourage you to give it a go. CMC is the perfect place to do this. Possibly the friendliest conference on the planet where new comers are made to feel at home. And who knows, you could end up working with one of the best in the business. So send us your project and give it a go.

To be in with a chance to take part in the session, please submit your idea, which should be no longer than 1 sheet of A4 paper to by Friday 7th June 2019.

Good Luck!
