Showroom Cinema & Workstation
The central venue for The Children’s Media Conference is the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield. The Showroom Cinema is a purpose built 4-screen cinema and conference venue, just 5 minutes from Sheffield railway station.
Registration and one-to-one commissioner meetings are in the Workstation, which is just next door to the Showroom Cinema.
Access
All public areas of the Showroom and Workstation are fully accessible for people using wheelchairs. Please notify the Box Office if you wish to reserve a wheelchair user space in the cinema. Toilet facilities for wheelchair users are available in the bar, café and lower cinema lobby. The Showroom has a lift for customer use.

The HUBS
The HUBS is the venue for the Tuesday CMC SkillBuilder workshop, conference sessions and for delegate lunches during the conference. It is the distinctive silver building opposite the Showroom.
All public areas of the HUBS are fully accessible for people using wheelchairs.

Crucible Main Stage
Registration, conference live sessions and Keynotes will take place on the main stage at the Crucible Theatre.

Millennium Gallery
CMC Playground takes place in the Arundel Room at the Millennium Gallery,
Playground is a week-long free exhibition of interactive art for children and families. Everyone is welcome.

Situated in the Cantor Building, the Cantor Gallery is the home of Playground 2017 – a free digital art exhibition for children. All are welcome to visit.
The Cantor Gallery is a short 5 min walk from CMC Registration.

Pizza Express plays host to the pizza supper on the Wednesday night at 8pm.

There is an all day car park on Sidney Street and Arundel Street.
Evening & weekend parking is available on Arundel Street.
There is on-street meter parking on Charles Street, and Arundel Street.

- Registration is open in the Workstation from 8am on 4 July. A cloakroom is available at registration but please factor in an extra few minutes for security checks.
- The CMC International Exchange opens at 9am at the Millennium Gallery on Tuesday 4 July.
- The Tuesday Workshops all start at 1pm in the HUBS.
- Lunch for the Tuesday Workshops is available from 12noon.
- The Main Conference starts with our Opening Keynote at 6pm on Tuesday 4 July – in the Crucible Theatre.
