Preview – MC Grammar has the Last Word
Elaine McElroy is producing much-loved educational rap-artist MC Grammar for CMC’s The Last Word – the final moment of every conference. She outlines what you can expect…
If you can’t decide whether the best thing about CMC is the thought-provoking content, or the inspiration you take away, or just the fun… then this year’s final conference Keynote [w]raps up all three for you in a fantastic personal take on the conference theme What Next from Jacob Mitchell… aka MC Grammar.
Inspired by his experience of education as a teenager who couldn’t get to grips with traditional teaching styles, Jacob’s message is simple – ‘If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.’
Through an intimate and original performance created especially for CMC, Jacob will share the unique solution that helped him progress from initially leaving school with one GCSE, to achieving qualifications, becoming a teacher and gaining international acclaim as he spread his message to a global children’s audience – using music and rap as his learning tool.
With bespoke raps and a unique classroom demo, Jacob’s Last Word at CMC will take us on a tour of his formative years, and through the ups and downs that led to him making grammar and learning fun and inclusive for all kids.
This special performance will be a fitting end to the What Next 2.2. Children’s Media Conference.
And pay attention class – MC Grammar has a question for you too!
