Changing Behaviours
CMC Research Strand Co-Producer, Shazia Ali, on the nine sessions offering new insights into kids’ minds, play, and media habits.
The research strand at the CMC never fails to attract. Free research insights are of enormous value to CMC delegates. This year’s session in Cinema 1 show the range of interests in the research sector – commercial companies, academic and other institutions are all turning up to share what they know. 9 x 30 minute bite-size presentations offer a range of research content in easily digestible form.
The sessions this year showcase speakers from Ofcom, The University of Sheffield and several leading UK kids and youth research consultancies. We are very pleased to also welcome Dr. Maya Götz, Head of the International Central Institute for Youth and Educational Television (IZI) at the Bayerischer Rundfunk (Bavarian Broadcasting Corp.), Munich, Germany, who is also the Director of the PRIX JEUNESSE.
Across the research sessions we will be exploring character appeal, media consumption, gender influences and taking a glimpse into understanding play!
All nine sessions will be presented on Thursday in Cinema 1 and repeated throughout Friday in a slightly different configuration to allow delegates two chances to catch the session(s) of their choosing. Check them out below:
