March 23 – 24
MIT, Cambridge Massachsusetts

Sandbox Summit is an annual two-day idea forum at MIT, focused on the intersection of play, learning and technology.  CMC has negotiated a special discount for Sandbox Summit registration this year.

In order to welcome a global audience, Sandbox Summit is offering international CMC subscribers a $200 discount off the regular $795 ticket. To obtain the promotional code for this offer email: wendy@sandboxsummit.org.  Hotel discounts at the Cambridge Marriott are also offered, based on availability, if you register before February 27.

What sets Sandbox Summit apart from other conferences is its diverse audience, an eclectic mix of media developers and marketers, toy and game makers, educators, researchers, journalists, policy experts, inventors and students. Their common goal is to create new, better, and smarter products for 21st century kids.

The theme of the 2015 event is: WHAT IF… Imagining a more playful society.

The program includes two days of thoughtfully-curated presentations, hands-on workshops, a welcome party, and a product showcase/cocktail reception. Games guru Bernie De Koven and actor and president of The Creative Coalition Tim Daly will deliver keynotes. Presenters and demonstrators from all aspects of the media, edtech and toy industries will examine the ways we play with, learn from, and perceive today’s kids’ products and media. Expect to hear groundbreaking research, see innovative concepts, learn about new practices, and participate in spirited discussions. Attendance is limited to 300, so over the course of the conference attendees have a chance to meet and network with everyone from budding entrepreneurs to seasoned executives. No one ever leaves Sandbox Summit without new connections, new ideas, and frequently, new jobs.
