A slice of last night’s Delegate Pizza evening!

“Good laughs and a lot of yummy pizza eaten by all! A great chance to catch up with old friends and make a lot more new ones.” – Georgia Ball (Conference Assistant).

No top 10 takeaways this time.

Although, if I were to fashion a list of top 10 pizza toppings, I’m fairly certain that egg wouldn’t make the cut! However, the egg pizza (or whatever it’s called) appears to to be the only variety at which the delegates of the Children’s Media Conference will turn their noses up, as everything else disappeared before it even had chance to settle upon the table. This was a variety of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it consumption that made earlier session discussions about the rate of media consumption pale into obscurity! And, with a sincere apology about that joke, allow me to move on…

If I may take a moment to thank the staff at Pizza Express for harboring the army of delegates that descended upon its doorstep last night, and for facilitating both early-birds and stragglers alike as the CMC packed out the restaurant, upstairs and down. They ran around like they were on ‘fast forward’ setting and must have been so relieved when we finally made our way over to the Hubs for a night of sophisticated social drinking (with a little bit of dancing and a drag queen thrown in for good measure!), but you can read all about that soon.

Thanks to all who came to the meal. Yoking aside (I’ll stop now), the Delegates Pizza Evening is becoming a very pleasant social tradition in conjunction with the conference and, last night, it was easy to see why. Long may it continue.

But no eggs next time please.
