Claire Burdfield holds a PhD from the University of Nottingham and teaches at the University of Sheffield Management School on the Creative and Cultural Industries Management MSc programme. She has consulted for semiotic analysis companies, translated scripts for Netflix, and was a member of the BAFTA Youth Council.
Claire started at the CMC as a volunteer in 2013 and has worked in several different roles since. She became the Conference Administrator in 2021 and is responsible for the front-line interaction with stakeholders and the administrative management of procedures and processes relating to the governance and management of the CMC. Claire also aids in maintaining and developing the social media and marketing campaigns of the conference.
