The Salford Seminars 2010

To kick start 2010, Northwest Vision and Media sponsored three seminars at their Salford Media City Headquarters providing insights and networking opportunities for companies across the North keen to enter the children’s market.

The three linked seminars were developed by The Children’s Media Conference using industry insiders to produce the content, ensuring the best possible information, from the most appropriate speakers. Greg Childs was executive producer on the season, with Anthony Utley and Helen Brunsdon producing.

Starting on January 28th Meet The Commissioners was the chance to quiz the major players in kids’ TV in the UK on their commissioning needs and policies Michael Carrington, departing Controller CBeebies, and representatives from CBBC, Disney and Cartoon Network all contributed. On the 18th February the perspective turned international. Tackling the Markets explored everything you need to know about building pan-territory co-production deals with expert advice in all areas and personalised “surgeries” for specific projects. Download full report
