The Children’s Media Conference teamed up once again with MIDAS, Manchester’s inward investment agency, to run business and inspiration sessions for the region’s animation community under the banner of Manimation.
Manimation is designed to inform companies and freelancers about key factors for success in working in animation, visual FX, commercials, corporate, interactive, games, apps and virtual reality. Speakers included broadcasters, commissioners, buyers and animation experts including Mole Hill (Director, Clangers), David Barton (Cubic Motion) and a masterclass from ‘Thunderbirds Are Go!’ executive producer Giles Ridge. The welcome address was delivered by director of BBC Children’s, Alice Webb.
