Last year’s successful pilot Chinese children’s media mission to the UK is being backed again by UKTI. 10 companies in the broadcast, production, animation and interactive sectors – all major players in the Chinese media market, are being invited to a week-long exploration of the UK kids’ media scene. The companies will include state broadcasting giant CCTV who are enthusiastic to return after last year’s successful visit.
The group will be looking for content partnerships, co-production opportunities, formats, acquisitions and services.
This year CMC will be organising the entire mission for UKTI, with events in London on the 2nd July, Salford on the 3rd and of course the Chinese team and a range of UKTI advisors from other territories will be based in the HUBs in Sheffield on the 4th and 5th July.
